MONEI Now Offers Tap to Pay on iPhone for Customers in Spain to Accept Contactless Payments

An easy, secure and private way to accept contactless payments with only an iPhone and the MONEI Pay iOS app, no additional hardware needed

Today, MONEI, the fintech that drives business growth through innovative payment solutions, now enables its customers in Spain to seamlessly and securely accept all forms of in-person contactless payments with Tap to Pay on iPhone. including contactless credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets, using only an iPhone and the MONEI Pay— no additional hardware or payment terminal needed.

At checkout, the merchant will simply prompt the customer to hold their contactless payment method near the merchant’s iPhone, and the payment will be securely completed using NFC technology. Tap to Pay on iPhone also supports PIN entry, which includes accessibility options.

Apple’s Tap to Pay on iPhone technology uses the built-in features of iPhone to keep the business and customer data private and secure. When a payment is processed, Apple doesn’t store card numbers on Apple servers, so merchants and customers can rest assured that their data stays theirs.*

The integration of Tap to Pay on iPhone expands MONEI’s omnichannel payment offering, which enables businesses to accept more than 40 payment methods across online and in-person environments.

Tap to Pay on iPhone enables MONEI customers to use a contactless payment acceptance solution that is easy to set up and use. Merchants using an iPhone XS or later, running the latest version of iOS, can start accepting contactless payments with Tap to Pay on iPhone within minutes through the MONEI Pay from the Apple App Store.
