MONEI Presents Its First Equality Plan for 2026–2030

At MONEI, we build technology to make payments simpler, more transparent, and more accessible. We want to apply that same approach to the way we work. That’s why we’ve approved our First Equality Plan, a roadmap with specific goals, designated leaders, and metrics to measure progress.

A Data-Driven Plan

The plan is based on a quantitative and qualitative assessment of our situation in 2025. In that analysis, we reviewed the composition of our team, our hiring and promotion processes, compensation, and working conditions. Based on those results, the Negotiating Committee defined the goals and measures we will implement over the next four years.

The Plan is in effect from September 2, 2026, through September 1, 2030. It applies to everyone who is part of MONEI at our offices in Barcelona, Málaga, and Vic.

Ten Areas, Ten Commitments

  • Recruitment: All of our job openings (both internal and external) reflect our commitment to equal opportunity.
  • Job Titles: Job titles use gender-neutral terms, avoiding specific masculine or feminine forms.
  • Training: All training opportunities are communicated to the entire workforce through our internal channels.
  • Promotion: Internal job openings are posted along with their requirements and criteria for knowledge and skills, so that anyone on the team can apply.
  • Work-Life Balance: We offer flexible start and end times to adapt the workday to family needs.
  • Compensation: Each year, we analyze potential pay gaps by gender and by workplace. If we detect any, we will implement an action plan to correct them.
  • Sexual and gender-based harassment: Each year, we review our prevention and response protocol and distribute it to the entire workforce.
  • Occupational health: We will develop and distribute a protocol for preventing risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • Gender-based violence: We inform the team about the rights granted to women who are victims of gender-based violence and about the improvements outlined in the collective bargaining agreement and in the Plan itself.
  • Communication: We distribute the Plan to the entire workforce. During its first year, we will also set up a suggestion box for inquiries, suggestions, and complaints regarding equality.

Monitoring

A Monitoring Committee will review the Plan’s implementation at least once a year. Each measure has its own indicators, which will allow us to measure progress and make any necessary adjustments. Before the Plan’s term ends, we will evaluate the results to prepare the next Plan.

We are convinced that equality is not declared, but rather built through clear processes. This Plan is our commitment to making it a reality.
